B.Wyse - Bon Graham

Salish artist B.Wyse, Bonny Graham, lives with her family in the Sto:lo community of Hope, British Columbia; residing in the Coast Salish territory all of her life. The paintings, designs and prints are inspired by the richness of her aboriginal ancestry. "My art is a tribute to my Salish heritage, to the environment, the flow of life and culture, and the physical and spiritual power it embraces."

A professional graphis artist for more than 25 years, Bonny has earned recognition and awards on the provincial, national and international level. Her artwork has taken years to develop and she works closely with respected elders and fluent speakers for guidance and inspiration. B.Wyse continues to expand her designs; exploring new mediums and directions through which to share her art and culture. Most recently she has begun working with schools to share the Halkomelem language through video and art instruction by developing collaborative art pieces with every student in the schools to create a unique canvas painting that remains on display.

Her designs have been showcased at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, YES Vancouver NRT symposium, NWAC and in Man Turned to Stonel T'xwelatse book. She also has various art features in places such as the Chilliwack General ER, the Sto;lo Resource Centre, UFV, a solo exhibit at the Chilliwack Visual Artists Association, Peace Hills trust Aboriginal Art Competition, and was a finalist for the Dreamcatcher Big Idea.
